Andrew Short has been a fixture on the AMA Supercross scene since turning pro in 2000. Always a consistent rider, Short first turned heads in 2003 by finishing 3rd Overall in the AMA 125 West Supercross series and winning the competitive AMA 125 East/West Shootout the same year. He continued to be a frontrunner in the Lites class from 2004-2006, logging podium finishes and even winning the coveted “King of Bercy” crown in Bercy, France. He maintained his top-level ability when he moved to the 450 class, finishing 3rd Overall in the AMA Supercross Championship and AMA 450 Motocross Championship in both 2007 and 2008, then improved on his personal best by finishing 2nd Overall in the 2009 AMA 450 Motocross season. While injuries have kept Short outside the top five over the past few seasons, he rebounded in 2012 for 4th Overall. Short looks to continue that trend in 2013.
